The "Fingerprint series" is about mosaics that visually represent both the sequence of keystrokes of a specific text and the individual time intervals between the keystrokes.
A method for identifying individuals on the internet is based on the dynamics of keyboard inputs, specifically the typing rhythm. In this process, the individual time intervals between keystrokes are measured, resulting in a unique pattern.
To create these mosaics, a program was developed to monitor the keyboard inputs of selected terminals, in order to obtain authentic imprints of typed texts. The time intervals are translated into distances (1mm = 10ms).
