Structure-borne sound transducers transmit sound through vibrations onto surfaces or objects. Because window glass can be scanned remotely with lasers to convert its minimal vibrations into acoustic signals —thus rendering conversations in the room audible— the transducers are used to mask these vibrations. They generate interference signals by transmitting prerecorded, layered voices directly into the window glass.
